In order for the Guidance and Counseling Unit to develop the quality of academic and professional performance among female students, and to enhance their path of achievement and excellence, the Unit organized a course entitled: “Communication Skills in University Life,” presented by the unit’s supervisor, Ms. Rabab Jamal, Hall No. 9, on Tuesday, corresponding to 7/25/1445.
The course, which was attended by a number of female students, included several main objectives, the most important of which were:
Introducing students to the four basic factors of the effective communication process.
Introducing students to the process of effective communication in terms of its concept, importance, and components.
Identify the characteristics, obstacles, and different types of effective communication.
Providing female students with the necessary skills that help them recognize body language and training them in it.
Providing students with the necessary skills that help them present themselves and their ideas in the most effective way.
Providing female students with skills and abilities and training them on methods that contribute to improving the communication process.
Helping female students develop and improve effective non-verbal communication skills.
Acquiring, developing and improving the university student’s negotiation skills and understanding his approaches.
At the beginning, the trainer introduced the main objective of the training course, which is: “Identifying the importance and means of effective communication in the work environment and acquiring efficient communication skills within the university environment.” Then, she touched on presenting four basic factors for effective communication, which were: “The sender, the message channel, the receiver, and nutrition.” Background,” then I presented an educational situation to the students so that they communicated in explaining one of the communication topics for an educational situation, and how to communicate among themselves, and work to achieve positive results in light of effective communication skills.
