The Mathematics Department was established for students in 1434 AH to contribute to the enrichment of mathematical sciences, study and research. Since then, the department has harnessed all its capabilities to teach various mathematical courses to college students. The study is directed in the Department of Mathematics in different branches, including theoretical mathematics and applied mathematics.

- Preparing and graduating specialized cadres and researchers in the field of pure and applied mathematics.
- Forming students' mathematical sense to reach the results of the question's answers and infer their validity.
- Students' awareness of the role of Muslim and Arab scholars in discovering and developing mathematical knowledge.
- Equipping students with modern technical methods in teaching and learning mathematics in different stages of education.
- Enable students to understand the educational and teaching basics that contribute to preparing and qualifying them as competent teachers.
