On Tuesday, 7/23/1445, the Guidance and Counseling Unit held a discussion panel entitled The Impact of Guidance on the University Student’s Career, presented by the unit’s supervisor, psychological researcher, Professor Rabab Jamal Abdel Hamid.
University education is a new transitional stage in a student's life. It moves to an educational stage that differs in its features, system, and teaching method from the previous educational stages. When moving to this stage, students differ among themselves in the degree of adaptation and compatibility with this new stage of study. Personal needs may clash with the requirements of the university stage, leading to poor adaptation and the emergence of a number of difficulties or problems that may affect, in one way or another, their university studies.
Objectives of the discussion session:
Clarifying the role of the academic advisor.
Helping the student achieve productivity to help her face problems.
Explaining the importance of academic guidance as one of the important services that positively affects the student’s cognitive, academic and professional growth.
Enable students to express their opinions during the panel discussion and formulate thought-provoking questions.
