The Admission and Registration Unit represents the gateway for students to the College of Sciences and Humanities in Slayil and the definition of its departments, academic systems, regulations and controls, which deals with his educational affairs from joining his academic program in it until his graduation from it. The unit educates male and female students about registration methods, examination and leave systems and dates, and prepares records and general results according to the rates achieved by male and female students.
The Admission and Registration Unit was established in 1432 AH to undertake the tasks related to the preparation of study schedules, follow-up of students' registration of the academic schedule, completion of deletion and addition, follow-up of the application of the prescribed hour's system and the related regulations, laws and instructions, follow-up of students' academic problems, and is also concerned with proposing admission and transfer conditions, and carrying out all work and activities related to registration. The unit develops its work and the tasks entrusted to it in order to suit the number of male and female students and the quality of its work in order to achieve the goals and vision of the university.

Excellence in working on a pioneering administrative organization concerned with providing educational services to male and female students and working to speed up the completion of tasks, taking into account the quality of the results using modern and professional technology means at the level of performance.

The mission of the unit stems from the mission of the Deanship of Admission and Registration in providing distinguished services in student affairs in a transparent and distinguished manner through the application and dedication of technical and computer means in the performance of its tasks and work, taking into account the accuracy, privacy and preservation of academic information and achieving integration between the requirements of the academic departments in the college.
Objectives
The objectives of the unit are derived from the objectives of the Deanship of Admission and Registration, which are represented in five strategic objectives:
· First Strategic Objective: Developing the mechanisms and admission criteria for the College of Sciences and Humanities in Slayil
· Second Strategic Objective: Continuous development in performance.
· Third Strategic Objective: Developing registration services and processes.
· Fourth Strategic Objective: Optimal utilization of technology and available resources.
· Fifth Strategic Objective: Promoting Total Quality Applications.
Tasks
· Preparing and recording study schedules for the first semester and second semester, linking them to groups, and entering the final exam periods for courses.
· Making and completing requests for deletion and addition for male and female students in cooperation with the academic departments of the college.
· Preparing the gaps and statistics for the Joura and providing them with statistics.
· Solving the problems of old plans for students and their equivalent courses in the new plan and schedule for the internal equation of courses, which contributes to facilitating the process of adding courses for students and thus facilitating the equation process.
· Counting male and female students who dropped out of school.
· Work on ending applications for additional opportunities for students who have received more than three warnings or who have not completed the graduation requirements within the statutory period, as well as ending applications for re-enrollment.
· Conducting an introductory meeting about the college and its academic departments for secondary school students to help them choose their specializations after finishing secondary school and joining the college. This meeting aims to explain the importance of each department in the college in terms of academics and career opportunities for students after graduation.
· The Admission and Registration Unit also conducts a special statistic before registration and prepares the academic schedule that helps the departments to offer the necessary courses that students need, which helps the college to give the appropriate teaching loads to faculty members.
· The unit educates students about the academic calendar and the times of deletion, addition, apology and withdrawal from the college according to the calendar approved by the Deanship of Admission and Registration, as well as plays an important role in the academic guidance of students.
· Follow up the study plans and match them in coordination with the academic departments of the college.
· Distributing academic guidance to male and female students in all departments of the college, both boys and girls.
· Follow up on defaulting students and communicate with the Deanship of Admission and Registration to solve academic problems.
