E-learning Unit

It is a special unit for e-learning, which seeks to improve e-learning at the college level through the development of plans and executive programs that regulate the work of e-learning, whether for students or faculty members. .

 Vision:
  To achieve leadership in the use, support, and dissemination of e-learning culture.

Mission:
Creating an appropriate environment that supports e-learning by encouraging and supporting faculty members, and motivating students to master modern electronic technologies in e-learning through the active learning process, which aims to improve learning outcomes, and provide students with electronic skills related to the specialization required by the labor market.

Objectives:
The objectives of the e-learning unit at the College of Sciences and Humanities in Slayil are as follows:

  • Holding training courses based on the unit's plan in the field of e-learning for faculty members in cooperation with the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education at the university.
  • Holding training courses for students to deal with e-learning management systems.
  • Providing technical support to college employees and target groups in all e-learning software.
  • Holding workshops for faculty members and students on e-learning, its importance and role in the educational process, how to apply it, and the skills required to enter this system.
  • Raising the skill of faculty members in preparing electronic courses.
  • Supervising computer labs and technical support for members.

Tasks:

  • Coordination with the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Learning regarding e-learning projects in the college.
  • Improving the quality of education by providing additional teaching methods based on e-learning techniques.
  • Developing students' skills and ability to interact with the changes of the times and modern technology.
  • Converting courses to electronic courses.
  • Raising the skill of faculty members in preparing electronic courses
  • Establishing training programs in the field of e-learning and related programs
  • Holding seminars and lectures to contribute to spreading the culture of e-learning, and planning and implementing programs to educate the college employees of the importance of maintaining the processing of educational technologies in the college.
  • Continuous evaluation of the reality of e-learning in the college, and participation in the development of standards for evaluating the quality of electronic courses in the college and following up on their implementation.
  • Carrying out coordination and follow-up tasks to train faculty members in the college on e-learning applications.
  • Follow up seminars and lectures of interest to the local community within the college, and provide the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Learning with copies of them
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports related to the unit.
  • Follow up on electronic tests and train faculty members to solve problems that students may face while taking the test.
