The College of Science and Humanities in Al-Sulayyil at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University held the "Homeland Footprint" exhibition in celebration of Saudi National Day. This exhibition came to embody the values of loyalty and belonging to the homeland through arts and creativity that express the national identity and the ancient history of the Kingdom.
The main goal of holding the "Homeland Footprint" exhibition was to instill national values in the souls of female students, enhance the spirit of belonging and pride in the homeland, in addition to providing a platform to display their artistic creations that embody their love for the homeland. The exhibition sought to integrate art and photography as expressive tools that reflect national symbols, and enhance belonging and national identity in an innovative and attractive way.
The participation of student clubs in the exhibition varied, as the Bada' Club for Arts presented wonderful artworks that included various paintings and drawings that embodied the national and historical symbols of the Kingdom. These works were distinguished by being creative and innovative, which added a deep aesthetic touch to the exhibition, and demonstrated the extent of the students' creativity in expressing their love for the homeland in sophisticated artistic ways. The drawings revolved around the concept of “Homeland Imprint” to express the impact that the homeland leaves on each individual.
In addition, the Amateur Photography Club participated in the exhibition by displaying a collection of photographs that captured breathtaking scenes of nature and historical landmarks in the Kingdom. These photos showed the natural and heritage beauty of the Kingdom, while highlighting the environmental and cultural diversity that it abounds with. The photos showed the students’ love for their homeland and their interest in documenting its distinctive cultural and historical aspects.
