The College of Sciences and Humanities in Al-Sulail launched the Student Mentor Initiative on Wednesday, 10/11/2023, to promote collaboration and peer-to-peer support among students. The initiative was attended by the College's Dean, Dr. Faisal Al-Subaie, and Dr. Talal Al-Huwaiti, the College's Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, along with members of the College's Guidance and Counseling Unit.
The Guidance and Counseling Unit aims to provide advice and guidance to students through student advisors, and the Student Mentor Initiative is aligned with this goal. Students with high cumulative GPAs and advanced levels of academic achievement are eligible to become part of the guidance team. Once selected, they receive a student advisor card, which enables them to assist their peers with academic and personal concerns, as well as provide support and guidance whenever needed.
