During the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - may God protect him - the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is experiencing a comprehensive scientific renaissance, the purpose of which is to provide the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the opportunity to arm themselves with the weapon of science and knowledge and contribute to the building of this dear country. One of the most recent universities was Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, which was founded by the noble Royal Decree No. 7305/MB dated 9/3/1430 AH. The university was quick to comply with royal directives by opening colleges in the governorates of the southern region of Riyadh, including the College of Sciences and Humanities in the Sulayyil Governorate.
In the second semester of the academic year 1427/1428 AH, the college was founded as a college for women with the name College of Education for Girls in As Sulayyil. At that time, the college was visited by Her Highness Princess Al-Jawhara Bint Fahd, Director of the University of Riyadh, may God preserve her, and it was inaugurated Officially on Saturday, corresponding to 1/27/1430 AH, by transferring the students of Al-Sulail Governorate from the College of Education for Girls in Wadi Al-Dawasir to the current college building in the secondary school in Al Hanish in Al-Shifa, In the Hijri year 1429/1430 AH, the colleges of southern Riyadh were transferred to King Saud University. At the beginning of the Hijri year 1430/1431 AH, they were merged with Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, and students began attending classes there. The college's name was changed to (the College of Sciences and Humanities).
